Used, in very good condition, and it's unlocked but is Verizon branded.
Oh and another thing, I removed the rubber gasket that was on the Sim tray now enabling the Sim card to be changed w/o too much effort.

They have some trade in options currently. For instance, you can trade in an iPhone 11 and get an iPhone 12 for free (after 24 monthly credits).

Or you can get half off a 12 mini when you trade in any old iPhone (including the original one from 2006), as long as it powers on and the screen is intact.

I had a thought that the best way to buy a iPhone is to buy iTunes gift cards at Staples using Chase ink business card. My question is if doing so, what's the best credit card to use to get insurance on the actual phone (If not purchasing AppleCare or SquareTrade)

I don’t believe you have to add a line for either of those offers.

An iPhone 7 or newer (but older than an iPhone 11) will get you $415 off an iPhone 12 as well, in case you have a 7 or 8 but don’t prefer the standard 12 over the 12 mini.

You might be better off poking around on eBay...ebay has a 5% card I believe.

eBay is much riskier compared to buying from Apple directly.

Not really if you know what your doing. I've bought 100s of items on eBay and have dealt with scammers many times, but never lost money.
