40% off Staples is very dandy, but I'm already sitting on $400 worth of Staples gift cards, having expected to snatch a laptop. Turns out their offers don't meet my (technical) expectations. So I'm a little wary. They can't be cashed or turned into better gift cards. 5 points on Ink would make me do it though. I know that waiting this out to see is probably a mistake, but I'm not desperate.
I posted my knowledge about Constant Contact to give back to this forum since it alerted me to the promotion, I really am not pushing this company - at all

So let me follow your logic... $20 off a $50 Staples GC is not incentive enough, but the difference between the value of 30 UR and 150 UR are what makes it?

Many of us will be sitting on thousands of $$$ of Staples GCs without the foggiest clue of what we will do with them. But 40% was way too enticing to pass up. The points are just an added bonus.

Well I can tell you that as a business owner (with a real business need) I have a tough time buying items at Staples, even after discount. Just last week, my wife needed resume paper, and I thought, yeah, I will use one of those gift cards. Turns out, the paper she wants was cheaper on Amazon despite discount and delivered much faster.
When I look at the recent ebay campaign http://www.ebay.com/itm/251869021428?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&var=550761960031&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT, with 15% off and over $1.5 million worth of Staples cards sold (where I got my $400 coupons), it makes me think that perhaps Staples has problems?

Staples offers convenience. Of course it comes with a price. Lets say your wife needs paper tonight. Where else would you get paper? Also if u wanted a low end laptop you can find an i3 for 300 on sale... buy with 5 $50 cards (max cards per order) you are getting that once $500 laptop for $200!

Then you're doing the whole Staples thing wrong.
I spent countless thousands at Staples this year at unbeatable prices.
Ditto for a dozen others I know.

I dont think there is any difference from when the charge posted with when after u paid it off
