I'm still stuck with the Free & Clear plan, 10 lines. On the majority of the lines I'm eligible for upgrades. If I can use these Centros as upgrades I'll gladly take a few. Also, I'd be interested in getting a couple of the BB Tour/9630 if I can use them as an upgrade.

You definitely can use the Centros on Free & Clear.
If you're eligible for upgrades I would suggest taking the free upgrade, selling them on ebay, and making a profit on the deal.

I knew I can use the Centros, but I'm not sure what you mean by "taking the upgrade and selling them"? You suggest I get a new device from Sprint, and sell the device online? Wouldn't that kill my plan? If not, which phone should I take that will be easily sold?

they tell you that you will have to change the plan but you dont need to. when you get the phones you call sprint to have them make sure the esn is clear and off your account, then you sell em

i got 2 nexus s when they were free and sold em for 250 each

It's funny how fast things change.
5 years ago it kinda made sense to buy a lifetime's worth of Centros, these days phones are practically outdated by the time they hit the shelves...

Are they still the same price?

Outdated phone wasn't the issue. He needed a half decent phone to keep the grandfathered plan.

Now days I doubt it would even be considered a quarter decent phone. It's amazing at what rate these devices evolve. It wasn't long ago that a Nokia brick with snake was the hottest phone on the market.

Maybe it's just me but every once in a while I feel like getting rid of all the smartphones and picking up my old trusty Nokia.
