making up an excuse to get off for a sunday is really easy, but in smicha, if u take off, u fall behind and its really not worth it.

and this is why we need to have it in cle....in between everywhere

You're just jealous of Dan that we're not chipping in to fly you down. Besides, didn't CLE just have a DO?

I remember those days...

noone said that. I'm just saying that I'm already taking off this thursday so if I take off another day, I'd have even more to catch up on...

Really? I thought the burger and fries and caiparinha de maracuja I had at Clubhouse were all pretty close to perfect.

PG is overpriced IMHO.  At least PG in LA had amazing ambiance but in NY they pack it in like sardines.

I've always felt LM is a good value.  Never been to Wolf And Lamb though.  I'm open to anything.
I would not go to wolf and lamb. I went once when my mother was in town and was not impressed at all.

I have never been to PG when it was really crowded... Thought I am supposed to go tonight... Will let you know. PG is overpriced, but I think you get a good value.

you can always try primeco or mikes bistro...

I went once to clubhouse, because la mariais had a 20 minute wait and I was not so impressed. (it was not bad, but I didnt think it was on par with La marias for example) LM is good though

Not on par? Of course not, but much cheaper as well. I think CH is as good a value as LM, albeit for a different occasion/event.

I ended up paying the same amount It comes out to in La Marais, but a lot less satisfied with the food....

Alright guys, let's get back on topic.

This is SF typing live from MUC's FCL bedroom.

Thanks Dan for the wonderful get together !

Just please, as it wasn't very clear, those shirayim from the SF's plate of Dans lasagna at a bargain price of 1000 miles, is of authentic reproductions of the real deal.
There are only 500 available.

After my treatment, mr anx can be @ two different DD Do's simultaneously, but requires special assistance...

Trying to catch some sleep...
Lol

I ended up paying the same amount It comes out to in La Marais, but a lot less satisfied with the food....
I'm not sure how.
LM I get a steak and a dessert and it's $50+tax/tip.
CH I get a burger/fries and a cocktail and it's $25+tax/tip.

Both are great meals, just depends what you're looking for.

If people are seriously interested in a get-together, I could potentially come to NYC on 02/20, 02/27, 03/13, 03/27, or 04/03.
Probably would be a good idea to limit it to 10-15 people at $25/person to cover my expenses to fly in for a Sunday and rent a car.

If you are interested in such an event, state your preferred date(s) and dining spot.

Preferred date is Feb 20th, I prefer a reasonably priced place where we can get a corner of our own (i.e. not Mike's or ClubHouse Cafe which will be mobbed on a Sunday), any suggestions?

Does it have to be a restaurant. Maybe somewhere else is a better idea.

Like? You guys are welcome to my house if you'd like, but I don't make lasagna?

EWR/LGA PC?
Won't need a rental car then :)
Can't wait to see 10 DDF'ers bringing in their suits and shirts to get pressed while in the EWR PC ;D

I think a restaurant would be better though IMHO.
NY lounges...reminds me of shidduch dating :P Nothing like paying $$$$ to fly to NYC, rent a car, pay for parking, and then pay as much for a couple drinks as LM charges for an entire meal.

Maybe people should list dates that won't work for them?  Otherwise it may be hard to get a consensus there.

Dan, how many people could you guest into the CO PC before they stop you? ;)

Or, perhaps everyone can buy refundable first class tickets...

If only they let me use my *G+Lifetime PC Membership+CO PPMC+AMEX Plat+Priority Pass to guest in people...

Anyway I'm assuming most DDF'ers have PC access by now.

Right, but they'd still need a ticket for that day.

Any of the dates work for me at this point. Can SF make it for any of the dates?
