Dan, first thanks for the post. I was crushed when the DC flights died out but got in on a Philadelphia flight to Rome. It is an AA operated flight, am I missing a way to select my seats? It didn't give me the option on the BA site and wants me to pay extra.
Took me at least an hour before i got it to verify.
any cheap routes still available?
The prices seem to be the same, but not reflecting the $400 savings. I checked PHL-FCO and got the same price with and without the AARP discount.
Tried AA site?
Yep, you got it. Who invited the new guy? AA site worked; brain fart. Thanks again, long weekend to Rome in Business for $547!
BA rep said that you can't combine AARP and points discount. Wouldn't try and book it for me. Also said something about it not working on AA metal flights.
Does anyone understand the points discount, when it is offered, and discount options appear? I've never seen such a generous valuation before w/ BA.
from where?
How do i access my BA reservation through AA site? Do i need to go to Finnair first?
