Agree. This precisely the points Im as well trying to make. @gold said that OP should make a Shaliach without explaining the details and OP said will do! DDF should not be your LOR period. And oh, there are poskim who agree that Direh does not necessary mean that you sleep there, it can also be called Direh if you sleep there.
I didn't say you SHOULD, I said you COULD. There are poskim on whom you could be Sumech.
+1 most chassidishe rebbes rely on that to light publicly as opposed to at home
BTW I once hard a rav tell others (not me directly, but heard in a shiur) that if you're in the airport and must light, you should rent one of those little hourly compartments that they rent at some international airports; that way you have a bed. It's more of a "dwelling" then.
The Rebbehs dont light at home?
How about in the smarte carte sukkah
I wonder what will happen if I try to light menora in one of the sleeping pod rooms in the Polaris lounge...
I hope not to much pirsumei nisa
@aygart no halacha objection? Why would there be a chiyuv to ever light in the airport? Dont you only light where you will be spending the night?
I have learned not to get between a lubavitcher and his menora
