47% increase in buy-now pay later isn't a good sign either. Also the media isn't adjusting for inflation on spend as far as I've seen. No surprise when everything is 5x more expensive that we're easily breaking records.

I read an article that says that the younger generation would totally default on payments if they could get away with it.

All the while with a significant amount living paycheck to paycheck with no actual rainy day savings. Anything significantly negative actually rocks the boat nationally economically and people default enmass followed by "stimulus" bailouts inevitably passed by politicians unwilling to make the painful but necessary for long term cuts, and we have inflation running to a point where the Fed can slash all they want it won't make a dent. Fun times ahead!
