Cancelling/Changing Dates Or Names On Ticket With Air Azerbaijan

I bought a few tickets with Air Azerbaijan and may need to reschedule or cancel.
Azal says the tickets can not be transferred to someone else nor can I have the dates changed - even for a fee.
Is this something a travel agent (perhaps on DDF) can help with?
Any advice?
P.S. It's not a medical issue so my Chase Reserve insurance won't cover it.

You might still be able to buy travel insurance that may have whatever reason you need as an option. Make sure it covers 100% of the trip cost.

It doesn't make much sense. That would be like covering a pre-exsisting condition.

My reason for possibly cancellingis due to starting a new job then.
The policies I checked seem to only cover for illnesses, deaths, wars etc, (which would be covered anyway by my Chase Reserve insurance).
Would you happen to know if any policies cover for my reason?

Cancel for work reason. You would need a letter from your work stating that you are needed and can't take off etc. The policy may have to be booked within 14 or 21 days of booking for that policy, make sure to read carefully.

Maybe because you're too far out from booking date. Are you searching on Squaremouth? It should be pretty easy to add a filter there to search for that option.

Yes,I'm using Squaremouth.
There is a filter "Cancel for any reason" which it says will add about 40% to the premium and even then will only cover approximately 75% of the ticket price.
Either way, when I click that filter it says there no options for me!
My booking date is August 2.

However, I don't see in the fine print how much before the trip I need to buy the policy.
Does it make sense that a day or two before my trip, when I (theoretically) will be sure I will need to cancel - that I can purchase a policy and have them pay my loss?!

There might not be a limit. Be sure to read carefully. Obviously, the letter you get from work has to be dated after you bought the policy .

A travel agent has a plan for me for $50.

Why not? Compare. BTW, sometimes more expensive plans that include everything can be cheaper than cheaper plans with add ons for what you need. Also, if you have USAA they offer a pretty good discount with one of the insurance companies.

I found online what the agent had for me for the same $50, so it's obviously not an agent special.
It's with Travel Insured International. Squaremouth doesn't seem to carry that company.
Doesn't seem to have the best reviews.
Not sure what to do.

As for comparing; it all comes down to one thing - how easy it'll be for me to get the full price of my tickets if I can't make the trip due to work-related reasons. All the other stuff (except medical) I'm covered with the Sapphire Reserve card.
