Not sure if it was discussed already,
Is the expensive noise cancelation headphone like Bose, Beats, Sony designed to work with a Smartphone, or it will have same benefits with any device like Mp3 player..?
On the Apple pod Max I know will have real benefits with iPhone only.
It's definitely designed around smart devices.
There's two separate things when it comes to Bluetooth headphones, there's getting the audio from the player to the headphones reliably and clearly (and low latency), and there's the extra features like playback controls noise Cancelling control and and other "extra features".
An mp3 player generally speaking won't have any controls beyond what's in the Bluetooth protocol pretty much play and pause, and that should apply to any headphones, Apple's included.
In regards to reliability, there's the Bluetooth standards like 4.1, 4.2, 5 etc. Where generally the higher the better but both the device and headphone needs to have it for it to be helpful. Then there additional things which can improve the reliability which is in addition to the Bluetooth standard, like I'm sure Apple has with their hardware and Samsung has with their phones etc.
An off the head overview sorry if I got some stuff wrong
