PS: If the reason you were declined on a 5/24 card is 5/24, and you are indeed 5/24, YOU WILL NOT GET APPROVED.

That's exactly what I'm talking about.
Here's the link to when I think it was first mentioned.
My situation was different, I was NOT approved at first . Called recon after waiting on hold for 5 minutes and after asking qauestions he was able to approve me. However, when I called back my application was still pending

I called back recon and she said it was pending but when she further looked at it she said the reason why it went back was because I had 2 cards approved recently and she denied it

What was mentioned here numerous times is that when you call app status and it says 2 weeks as apposed to 7-10 business days, it usually means approval.
By me the 2BM i made for my 2 friends by 1 app it says 2 weeks all other apps it says 7-10 business days and ALL was declined so that tip is inconclusive

7-10 days is an automatic denial (which could still be reconed)
2 weeks is pending status and requires human intervention, who may approve you or not.

Cant be because the night i applied i called the app status phone number and it says 7-10 days on both cards the next day i called back and it told me on 1 card 2 weeks (without recon) and on 1 7-10 & in the end both was denied so nothing is conclusive

I figured I would read up a bit b4 asking any q but by page 6 realized there was 96 pages and my q weren't being answered...
I did 3 bm on sapphire/united/ba and got rejected on all 3 :(
Due to few revolving open accounts.
I have the freedom card since April with $1000 cl.
And a BofA secured card for about 10 months.
How and if can I get chase to reconsider on any cards?
Thank you

Is your oldest card 10 months old?  If so you will probably have a very hard time getting anything approved.  However, it doesnt hurt to call Chase reconsideration and tell them you need a credit card for (insert reason here).  It doesnt really matter what the reason is....if you have only 10 months of credit history, you're not going to get them to approve you for 3 new cards all at once.

I applied for the Ink Bold a few months ago. I thought the bonus was after 3k I found out that it was 5k once it was too late.

After I pleaded with them they threw me a bone and gave me 5k but no signup.

This morning, a few months later, I decided to SM again figuring all they could do is say no...

THEY GAVE ME MY 50K!! I've had the card for around 6 months.
Part of the vast right wing conspiracy.

That may help you when you say them how close your relationship is with Chase and you keep high balances with them.
But the real help you might get is, in case you have no luck with recon, you can step in at your local Chase branch and ask your banker to fill out for you the special reconsideration form, which might give you very good chances of approval.
