Barclay reconsideration line: 866-408-4064, Mon-Fri 8AM - 5PM EST.
The 24-hour number is 866-408-4064
New 24 hour number is 866-205-5973
you can finally fax documents to Barclays the number is 866-836-6959

Based on the phone reps, an application usually remains in the system for 90 days, during which you can ask for a reconsideration.
However, if 30 days have passed, it will incur another hard pull.

There have been a few reports of Barclay pulling credit again when reconsidering - even when specifically asked not to.
Make sure to explicitly tell the rep that you don't want another credit pull. The benefit of such action would be that if later you see they did pull your credit you can call up and speak to a manager and have the pulls removed (based on first-hand accounts from this thread).

If you want to guarantee that you don't get another pull, freeze your credit report.

While Barclay recon reps are usually very tough to deal with, there have been sporadic reports of them reconsidering by reallocating credit-line from other cards. Additionally, there are a few reports indicating success with the 3BM.
Personal and biz didn't combine

Barclay recon reps take notes of each phone call and subsequent reps usually regurgitate the previous rep's reply.

Barclays has a 6/24 rule similar to chase 5/24. Not hardcoded like chase though.

IIRC at least 1 was approved. But it certainly didn't sound like it was dead. They just had their usual list of excuses.
Well, if you remember  correctly...
Either way that's what I was told, could be DROPR and could be not, the wiki is based on reps either way...
If u work for a living, why kill urself working?

No doubt. Although my experience agrees with the wiki. (Plus, I could see that after 90 days you can't see the app on the app status site and after 30 days they are pretty string about re-pulling)

tell them that you heard the card will no longer be available and you want to get it before it goes away.

Good for you! I was about to ask if anyone has had success with them lately. What were the reasons you were getting denied? By me they keep saying too many recent accounts. ( ??? I only have a fraction of other DDF'rs) I tried asking them to shift credit from other open card and nothing doing. They said they need more history on new accounts even though I have a few accounts a few years old.

I called the 24 hour number yesterday for recon, rep said "sorry can't even look at it because you called too many times"
I only called a total of 4 times, once on date of app..

A new one for the book of excuses they give.

Same exact. In the end I did shift credit...
I told them that recent cards are a good thing as it shows banks are willing to trust and as for more history - well I have that too. Also said that I've heard great things about them but if it is going to take 16 pulls just to get one card not worth it (it was my second app for the card)

The power of HUCA prevails once again just got approved for us airways i applied on 12/04 called recon then and they wouldn't do it tried twice just now and the second rep was willing to shift credit from my arrival+ which i got on the same day as this app with 2bm  ;D ;D
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.
