Rude way of asking. But yes I do.
Ummmm.... Do you even know what rude is?
BH you're safe. How was the pilot flying? Wouldn't there be air hitting his face at hundreds of miles an hour?
He said it was tempered glass.
Kind of freaky. Why doesn't this happen more often? Car windshields crack every day...
I think the answer is pretty obvious: for the same reason airplane tires don't blow out as often as car tires do. And that is...
That would have been one smelly cockpit if I was the pilot.
I did feel him deploy the speed brakes before the announcement. I'll upload a picture when I get home tomorrow. They offered 300 dollar united voucher or 15,000 points to everyone on the flight. Side note, the voucher that they gave us for the hotel had united airlines corporate credit card number (all 16 digits) with exp date and cvv printed on it. (Lol)
Accidents still do happen, but the initial grade/quality of the parts is much higher (and incidentally much more expensive, as well). Therefore the failure rate is much lower.
