How come no one mentions it?  Is it kid friendly?  Do u get a tour like by jelly belly?  Free?

It is nice, maybe people don't Budweiser that much :) but it's literally 3 minute drive from there, tour is a little bit boring but it is completely free and you finish with lots of drinks!

According to poll data, President Obama's victory on Tuesday was due largely to his popularity with both college students and the unemployed.
So basically Obama became president the same way Budweiser became the King of Beers.

It's definitely been mentioned here before. (Probably not in this thread)

I know it's been written about somewhere. Can someone link me to where people have discussed driving from SF to LA? I am considering doing the drive with a 2 yr old and 6 month old. If we drive, we would leave around 8 PM. Any suggestions on where to stop for the night? Things to do for a stop along the way?

Atleast for part of the way.  I am considering leaving SF around 8 PM.  Maybe pick up the PCH in the AM and make my way to Oxnard for lunch?

That's a strange time to leave SF...
Monterey or Big Sur would both be beautiful places to spend the night.
Solvang is a cute Danish village to stop in and walk through.
You can take the scenic route back from Oxnard and pick up the PCH/1 there but IMO the more beautiful parts of the 1 are further north. If you're leaving SF at 8pm though, there's no point in doing the scenic drive then.

Well when your Jewish grandmother says dinner is at 5… you have to plan around it.  My grandmother lives in SF.

Stay in SFO for the night, pointless to do the beautiful PCH at night. Start early am, you will get to Oxnard in time for dinner.

I left at 9 and didn't come close to oxnard for dinner and we didn't stop all that much. With 2 kids I doubt mochada would make it either.

It's 8 hours of driving time max. You leave at 6am from SFO, you are giving yourself a good few hours (4-5) for stops before dinner time.

It's 8 hours if you take the 5 with kids, not if you take the PCH.

When we did it as a family, we spread it out over 3 days.

Google maps calculates it at 7h58m, on the 1. So you want to buffer in another house, fine make it 9 hours. Add in stopping for kids and view another few hours, and still got time before do dinner.
