metropcs service in nyc and nj

I need a phone and metropcs is running a promo of 4 phones unlimited text talk and web (except android/4g) for 100$ (25$ each tax included)

does anyone have recent experience with the day to day cell service in lakewood brooklyn and queens?

They have their own network, in the NY, NJ they have "decent" coverage, but travel somewhere and you'll be using payphones.

It's been a while since anyone responded to this post.

According to Metro PCS's new coverage maps there should be no issue in the major Frum areas like Lakewood, Monsey and NYC.

Can someone confirm this?

I don't know about now, but I had them for a while a few years ago, and it was quite bad.

Not necessarily. They use Verizon, AT&T or T-Mobile depending on the phone or the sim card you use.

Their high speed data is throttled. You can Google it. But if your bringing your own Verizon phone just buy the right sim card.
