The letter itself is suspicious.
The last sentence starts with past tense and end with a future instruction. "The trip has been arranged so that in all possible instances one should fly elal"- Can someone explain this to me?
paranoid by any chance? you think elal's new marketing scheme is to forge a letter from the rebbe? lolthe trip has already been arranged. the flying has not yet taken place.
The sentence starts "Its understood that the trip has been arranged so that etc. There is no room for a period in the place where you put it, if you read the whole sentence.
i wasn't putting a period in the letter. i was separating my two statements in an effort to explain to you why the first part would be in past tense, while the second would be in future.
Was it a shita or just how things worked out?
if i had a choice Elal or an alternative at the same price, i would choose elal. security and giving the money to a jewish company are the main reasons for that. though that is mainly my theoretical opinion...

IMO security isn't what it used to be.
