The unemployment was covid-19 related, and I don't think people were complaining. Though the giveaways definitely contributed to inflation.
I wouldn't be surprised if future revisions actually end up showing deflation.

Yes, unemployment was covid related but so was high inflation. We were recovering from the worst economic downturn we have seen.
Everyone is going to twist the numbers for their narrative. I am just going to keep using the same goalposts for both sides even if some here don't like it.
