It's not necessarily about an echo chamber. I think you'll find I've taken many a contrarian view on this forum over the years. If a member's posts are consistently driving you nuts for whatever reason, remember that this is a website and not real life. You don't have to spend hours of your time going in circles with them. It is infinitely more healthy for your sanity to ignore and get out of your echo chamber using other avenues that don't drive you nuts.
I wasn't commenting on your post - your scenario is totally understandable (and probably healthy*). But the way it's phrased as being "the best feature on DDF", made it sound like it's used much more liberally, resulting in an echo chamber.
*I ignore topics, rather than specific people. Seems less snobby
