Eylon Levy Fired - Some things are beyond me

In one of the more befuddling moves I've seen in a while, the Israeli govt dismissed Eylon Levy from his position as spokesman for the government. Link https://www.israelnationalnews.com/news/387416

This is truly unbelievable. He was the most articulate spokesman that I can ever recall. Most Israeli spokespersons don't speak English or speak a broken English and have no communication skills. Eylon is unusually articulate, dedicated, a great debater, and a native English speaker (with an English accent to boot). I have no words to express my dismay. Anyone understand this move?

Biggest issue is people elevating the PR war to be on par with the actual war.
Stop talking about going into Rafeach instead of actually going in.
The Al Ahli hospital bombing was a flat-out blood libel, created out of thin air. Did it help the war effort that all the king's men and all the king's horses quickly proved that it was a lie? I mean, today Israel horrifically and deliberately murdered food aid workers (/s), the most innocent of the innocent, so anyone looking for new ammunition to discredit Israel has it.
My point is, the PR people need to do their jobs, but the fascination with convincing a hostile world that Israel is moral and amazing needs to stop.

Biggest issue is people elevating the PR war to be on par with the actual war.

Definitely as much important but with far less likelihood for success in today's world. But, חזקה על תעמולה שאינה חוזרת ריקם so it would be extremely foolish to just abandon that front or not to have the most competent people to do the task.

Like so many, I've bemoaned how awful Israel is at PR for most of my life. Who is Hamas' spokesman that is so good? I doubt any of us can name a counterpart to Eylon Levy. They don't need one. Israel could have a million Eylons and it wouldn't make a lick of a difference.
