i booked today on united.com tlv-bru-jfk rt
I booked on the website bec it was pricing there @ $668, while on gds it was pricing @ $718, and the website gave me the option of using etc to book
I got the email saying my reservation is processing showing all 4 legs, and shortly after i got my ticket with only the bru-jfk and jfk-bru legs ticketed. Totaly leaving out the 2 tlv legs.
I called them up and huca'd a few times asking what happened here, and kept on being told that they cant ticket the tlv legs bec its a sold out flight. Same reply from supervisors.
It didnt help all my yelling that i can see in the gds tens of open seats, and that united.com and sn's website are still selling seats on the flight. They kept on repeating the same stupidity that the flight is fully booked and they cant ticket those legs.
The best they could offer me instead was to add on 500 dollars and get ticketed on lh.
No thanx, direct was cheaper.
After a few huca's i gave up, cancelled the ua reservation, and just ticketed in the gds those same exact flights including the wide open sn flights @$718 with no issue.
Was there anything i could have done to get them to ticket it?
Why was united acting this way?
Is there any way to take them to task for this?
Has anyone ever had such an experience?
