Is there any sincere belief out there that while the Bible is the word of G-d, a directive described within is a moral travesty?

We are getting into a can of worms. First, I would ask if an Evangelical Christian is a Christian? They do have some different beliefs than "Christians".

I am not a theologian, but if you know any Christians, ask them if cheating on your spouse should elicit the death penalty? Adultery is no different than being gay.

I have not heard from them adultery should elicit the death penalty. To be fair I haven't really been paying attention to them. The issue is the nutcase in question committed adultery. Does he believe he should be put to death?

The issue is the nutcase in question committed adultery. Does he believe he should be put to death? 

That likely depends on the marital status of the woman allegedly he was involved with.

Only from the perspective of someone who disagrees with that interpretation.
Christianity doesn’t have an alternative “interpretation” of the punishment described within. They believe, perhaps, it’s been abrogated, but that’s very different than saying it’s completely nuts to think it was ever “just”.

I am willing to bet it doesn't matter. 

That wouldn't be in line with how they explained in that article, because the Old Testament clearly differentiates and doesn't mandate the death penalty if the woman isn't married. Sure, Christianity considers it "adultery" and has their set of beliefs for why its strictly prohibited, but there is no way to biblically justify a death sentence for that specific behavior.

If this race is any indication, the red wave is going to be bigger than anyone could have guessed.

In 2020 Delgado and Biden won the district by 11%. Ryan won by 2%. If there is a nationwide swing of 9 points towards the Republicans that means a major blow out victory for them.

Thats one way to play with numbers. The other is it was R, flipped D and was expected to flip R again especially with the president numbers in the tank. That didn't happen.

I lived in that district until a year ago. It has been becoming bluer for years, and that was accelerated over COVID with young liberals moving in to get away from the city.

Faso only won in 2016 because;

1 -He ran against an extreme liberal (Zephyr Teachout) who didn't live in the district until she decided to run.

2 - Trump's coattails.

Before that there was a Republican Congressman who was extremely popular in the area, and who (in his last election at least) ran against a guy whose also moved to the district in order to run for Congress.
