What is your problem? It seems you are trying your hardest to discredit anything I post. Am I threatening your status here? The info I posted in this thread is 100% accurate. I am just giving members a heads before they run into a problem. I would hate to see someone max out there CL on a Discover business card and then receive AA because they did not realize it would report.

You asked how the cb would know that someone is an AU on a cc if AU's ss was never given to the FI.

I directed you to a thread that discusses that topic. Its a very recent thread and therefore has updated relevant info.

It was a rhetorical question meaning if the FI (CC company, Credit Union) does not report your account to the credit bureau there is no way (FAKO or FICO report) it can show on your report.

You obviously did not read the thread that I linked to above. Go read that thread and you will see for yourself. Its all spelled out over there and I therefore won't repeat myself.

Ouch. Let me put this in plain English. If I am an AU on a Citi CC and Citi does not report this to the credit bureau there is no way it will show on my CR. Leaving right now to read the thread.

ETA:Ok I read the thread and someone owes me an apology. If you are an AU and don’t give you SS# it still can be on your CR because it can be linked by other information. The part you are missing is the FI is reporting the account to the CB and that is why it can be linked.

Ok. I just made my friend an au to build his credit on a citi card(they didn't ask me to put in his address so I kept it at mine) will I build his credit(they don't ask for anything but a name (and yes I read the forums and I did not find a clear answer)

If he doesn't have same address as you, you need to add his ss # if you want it to show on his cr.

A. He has a bad credit ( because he never had a card and he applied for too many cards and got declined) so how long before applying for his own citi?

B. another question what is giving him credit my years with citi? because i am with citi for a month? or is it just the fact that he is under me>?
