Look no further than the fact that people - who never lifted a gun in their life and have (bh) never had their lives affected by guns - have *extremely* strong opinions about it.

How about someone that has owned guns all their life. Supports gun rights and feels something needs to be done. Is that a political view?

The real problem is that it's hard to tell if someone has mental issues, and also hard to stop someone who has mental issues from "borrowing" a gun from a family member.


Also people can develop mental issues long after buying a gun.

Laws do help but we all understand that laws are not the catch-all solution. To do nothing is the worst possible approach.
