Internal Document Reveals: IDF Withdraws - Hamas Quickly Restores its Governance Capabilities

An internal document received by 'Ma'ariv' and defined as "unclassified" surveys the situation in the Gaza Strip in terms of governance. This document, compiled by the IDF (Israel Defense Forces), was first published by Akiva Bigman.

One of the objectives of Operation Iron Sword was defined as "weakening Hamas' military and governance capabilities in Gaza." However, the document indicates that following the IDF's withdrawal from much of the territory, Hamas has swiftly restored its governance capabilities.

For example, the document reports a significant decrease in the volume of aid convoys moving northward, demonstrating that Hamas managed to seize control of these aid convoys, thereby proving its governance capabilities.

Moreover, since the end of February, no protests against Hamas have been recorded throughout the Strip, and Hamas continues to suppress any real threat to its authority.

The document reports clashes between armed factions known as Da'mesh and Hamas in a neighborhood in Gaza City "against the backdrop of Da'mesh elements seizing aid entering the north overnight." According to the report, "Hamas activists arrived at Da'mesh's compound to carry out arrests and reclaim the aid, leading to an armed confrontation between the sides, resulting in casualties among Da'mesh ranks."

In Khan Yunis, the situation is now defined as "active," as "the municipality began opening routes in various neighborhoods across the city in the past week, following our forces' withdrawal." Infrastructure renewal activities were also documented in Bani Suheila, Absan al-Kabira, and Abasan al-Jadida.

Akiva Bigman writes in 'Ma'ariv' that "the bottom line is that despite the prolonged presence of IDF forces in the Gaza Strip and despite widespread destruction of infrastructure and buildings, Hamas' effective control remains, and it continues to be the ruler and decision-maker in the area. The IDF's own document makes it clear that the objective of this war has not been achieved."

I guess just change Covid to Hamas.

Was either a warning that we could strike nuclear targets if we want, or (not likely) a preparatory strike to prepare for the main attack:

Not only that, but one wrong move and the nuclear targets are next. We don't even need to worry about your air defense anymore.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

There are a couple of interesting aspects of last night's strikes.

1. There were a number of reports that a large part of the attack within Iran included drones from Kurdish areas.
2. There does not seem to have been a need for the amount of fighters that seem to have been around or the length of time the reports seem to have them in the area.

A speculative possibility may be that the entire strike was based on the portion we are hearing little to nothing about which is the one in Bagdad. Maybe that meeting was the primary target. Even if not, they may have gotten the intel about the meeting there and felt they couldn't leave it at only that since it would look like that was the entire statement and would be inadequate so they needed to add the attacks in Iran itself with it.

Of course there is a strong likelihood that there is more here that we don't know at this time.

Lapid Embarrasses Himself: Criticizes Diplomatic Level Over Incident That Occurred During His Tenure

Many in the political establishment have issued condemnations regarding the looming decision by the United States to impose sanctions, for the first time in history, on the 'Netzach Yehuda' Battalion of the IDF. Yair Lapid also remembered to publish a statement, albeit noticeably delayed.

Lapid, as is his custom, seized the opportunity to engage in some politics and published the following statement:

"The American sanctions on the Netzach Yehuda Battalion are a mistake and we must act to overturn them.

The source of the problem is not at the military level but at the diplomatic level. The world understands and knows that Minister Ben Gvir does not want the police to enforce the law in the territories, and Minister Smotrich does not oppose Jewish terrorism and the extremism of the settlers.

The result is a serious blow to Israel's status as a state of law and another severe erosion of our international standing.

IDF soldiers and their commanders are the first to suffer from the government's detached policy and diplomatic failure."

And again, Yair Lapid manages to embarrass himself. It turns out that the event that led to the U.S. decision, the death of Omar Asaad, a 79-year-old Palestinian who was found lifeless at a construction site after being detained and harmed by IDF forces, actually occurred during a period when Israel was governed by… Yair Lapid and Naftali Bennett.

It should also be noted that no criminal actions were taken against the soldiers in the IDF, as the Palestinians refused to allow an autopsy, which proved that they released him from restraints before leaving him to sleep at the construction site, presumably under the influence of alcohol, and therefore he likely died from a heart attack, unrelated to the soldiers' conduct.
