They said they were embedded and insinuated they were employed by AP, CNN and others. It seems everyone takes that as fact until proven otherwise.
Same thing with the person killed in Detroit and the person that died in LA.
I was with you until the LA thing. 2 of these things are guesses and insinuation, with no clear evidence of the allegations (employees vs freelancers for the news outlets, and anti-Semitic motive in the Detroit murder). The other is a documented altercation with eyewitnesses. We may not know if the blow caused his death, but that's pretty much the only unknown.
Separate the arguments against people jumping to conclusions from the argument over semantics.
