Thanks! I went and read the thread and saw the spreadsheet. I don't know how to do formulas in Excel but I do have a spread sheet to keep track of CCs with similar info. I color code those for closed, sock drawer, active cards. I also have a sheet for AORs and one that has CC/reward log in information including CC numbers, exp. date and CV code.
I just haven't figured out a system with what account to pay what CC with. I know (heard) some are low volume, like T-Mo, and have to be kept to less than 1k for BP. I've also heard it's better not to pay Amex from Serve, so I'm thinking of using UFB for Amex.
ST is our home bank. I have a relationship with them and started depositing some MOs a few times a month before I got UFB about a month ago. I've spent some time with one of their CSRs and although we haven't talked about it, she knows I'm in the game--new CC bill pay, etc. Once she talked to me about a new travel CC that ST was offering and said you can even buy GCs with it. Really? I didn't get the card, but agreed to an appointment with their FA and we'll park some of the money from the sale of our house there next year. You know, social engineering.
Guess I'm looking for people with similar accounts (ST, Ally, UFB, Citibank, Gobank, Serve, T-Mo) as to how they manage BP. Do they use multiple ones for BP, ACH in, ACH out (for BP and to other accts) make one payment a month from one account, multiple payments from multiple accounts, etc. That's the area I need to come up with a system!
