JP updates confirmed that Jacob Ostreicher who was jailed in Bolivia for 30 months is now free and has arrived in USA yesterday on Sunday.
Source says Mr. Ostreicher simply escaped Bolivia via a third country from where he made his trip home to the United States.
UPDATE (5:24PM): Mr. Ostreicher was missing for several days before his brother was contacted, the source tells JP Updates.
UPDATE (5:12pm): Mr. Ostreicher was kidnapped by a unknown group who requested a contact to demand ransom for his release, a reliable source told JP Updates. Jacob gave them his brother Ari’s number. Upon receiving the request, Ari ostriecher arranged the ransom to be paid and Jacob was dropped off in a third world country, from where he fled to the United States.
Editor’s note: This report is possibly a cover story for a likely escape.
NYC Councilman David Greenfield, who was in contact with Mr. Ostreicher at least once a week, told YWN he spoke to him this past Friday, and may have alluded to his possible release / escape. “He sounded very nervous, and said that ‘things were happening’.
