its the best for the money... if your looking for a solid peice that isnt too expensive hes your guy but it falses pretty often in the city.. so it depends where your driving and how much you want to spend

thats prob the best for $400 range but i would go with the R3 for $250 and ignore the k band alerts in the city but in the catskills cops run k band..

I believe the Valentine lacks built in GPS and also lacks (speed and red light) camera detection.

IME in NYC the R7s red light/speed cameras detection leaves a lot to be desired. Waze is a lot better.

The problem with Waze is that it doesn't announce an upcoming speeding camera unless you are driving at a speed above their threshold. If you start driving too quickly after where the announcement would have occurred, but before and through the camera zone, you'll never get a verbal warning.

What exactly about the R7, in this regard, leaves a lot to be desired? Are any other detector models better in regards to cameras?
