IME lots of cops still use k. Especially upstate.
And lots of new cars also use K.

Maybe adjust the sensitivity a lot.

The problem with Waze is that it doesn't announce an upcoming speeding camera unless you are driving at a speed above their threshold. If you start driving too quickly after where the announcement would have occurred, but before and through the camera zone, you'll never get a verbal warning.

What exactly about the R7, in this regard, leaves a lot to be desired? Are any other detector models better in regards to cameras?
R7 is great, except for red light/speed camera, I don't care about the cameras.

For example if your driving straight, it will alert you to a camera one block over to the right, your on the highway and it will alert you to a camera off an exit.

Just get a bike rack.

Waze alerts me to speed cameras even when driving under speed,

The best is when you use waze and a radar detecter

Sorry, I didn't understand your reference to a "bike rack".

I know what a bike rack is; I don't know how it fits into this discussion.

Waze alerts me to speed cameras even when driving under speed,
In New York City? Are you sure you're driving under 25 MPH when Waze verbally alerts you to an upcoming speed camera?

The web is replete with reports from Waze users that it fails to verbally alert upcoming speed cameras unless they're driving above the speed limit.

If the camera can’t see your license plate they can’t ticket you

But then again, for a bike rack to block the license plate is illegal... and you might be stopped and get a ticket.

Unless you're for sure going to get speeding/red light tickets then it's an ברי ושמא situation...  ;) ;D

Valentine V1 Gen2 or Uniden R7?
It depends what and where Ur using it. I have both and prefer the v1gen 2 Cruz of its range, range around a bend, and very quiet on the highway but the r7 is prob better if u use it mostly in the vity.. If Ur driving highway especially if u have a smart phone I would use the v1

resloved https://www.reddit.com/r/radardetectors/comments/rgnnz5/uniden_r7_digitizerscreen_no_longer_working/
LOL.
If you have the hardwire kit you can long hold the buttons to change the screen displays settings.
Always praying for delayed baggage.
