Scary thought.  If it makes sense to charge these YQs, why don't domestic carriers charge 'em? If it doesn't make sense, why do (most) int'l carriers charge 'em?

Domestic carriers are in the dead competition, AA, DL, UA, US all don't charge YQ. They all have co-branded CC's. if one charges they'll lose a lot to their competition.

Why wouldn't they all add it at once, just like with all other trends (e.g. baggage fees etc)

I just got off with a AC supervisor, I told her people are panicking that Aeroplan would finally be useless based on those rumors. She put me on hold to verify, she came back saying that they are in middle of the process of adding that, and we could see them adding surcharges to US / US / LX etc.. as soon as Jan...

Don't take my words as proof to this rumor, as I don't believe reps / supervisors at all. It's just another confirmation of the rumor. I pray it turns out like Citi TY points

Did you ever transfer US>AC? Did you ever transfer on Points.com?

I did. I was quoting from memory which is either correct or mistaken but I stated that in my post.

If you would've dealt w points.com you would've known nothing there makes sense.
