I need to fly from NYC to PRG and wanted a J seat.

The best option I found was on AC, a J seat with LX from EWR-ZRH-MXP with the intention of dropping the last leg and booking a separate ticket via LX from zrh-prg.

Have 2 questions:
1) Can Ac just switch the second leg for me from zrh to prg instead of mxp?
2)If not, when checking my bag in ewr can I have them check it straight to prg instead of mxp?

If you say you dont intend to take zrh-mxp leg you risk ticket being cancelled

best bet is to just ask for bag to tag only to zrh and recheck there to prg

With a 9.5 hour layover in ZRH will they release my luggage?

Looking to book Austrian JFK-VIE one-way with points (likely via Avianca, Air Canada, etc.), but none of the Star Alliance programs show availability, even though cash fares are cheap (~$1,000 round-trip). Does Austrian block award space on certain dates (far out, close in, etc.), or has anyone had recent success booking? Also any recent DPs, which Star Alliance program is best for searching and booking their awards?

If I use United miles to book a flight on Air Canada, how do I know which kind of ticket it gets me on AC?  It could be Basic, Standard, Flex, Comfort or Latitude? They each have different rules and benefits, but United page doesnt say.

If I have status with AC, will I still get those benefits, even if I book with United? I will put in my AC number.

Also, on the United page it says no special meals to order, but a meal is given on the flight (says so on the AC page). Will I be able to book Kosher meals with AC directly?

I don't know if there is a better place to bring this up but I will start here.  I have tried to book United domestic flights with Turkish points a few times recently and always unsuccessful.  Turkish shows availability but when I try to book there are some glitches or blank fields that can't be filled out so I can't get to the next page.  I have called them several times and they tell me they are waiting on an upgrade to their systems and until then, no partner awards can be booked.  Any thoughts?

I just booked a domestic United award with TK last week. Called the US call center and got someone right away. Took about 20 mins in total. Was a relatively smooth (but slow) process.

Hi, I'm trying to help someone who has Amex points but very little chase points book a ticket operated by UA.
If i book through Aeroplan in Y for 40k, will I be able to upgrade to Premium after that on United for +10k? there is availability.
