No idea what the price for these things is. So far I walked into just one store and they said they are starting at $2100 (for the particular style I'm looking for which is the back-wall style), I wasn't blown away by any of them.
IIRC that's called a Bal Shem Tov Menorah. You probably saw Isreali made menorahs either by Hazorfim or Hadah Bros. they generally make the regular menorahs as there is a higher demand for those.
Being that its already Chanukah you probably don't mind waiting for next year to use it. I would recommend scouting Ebay, you can buy from anyone with a 100% positive feedback without worrying about buying something fake. If you want to PM me a listing I can have it verified for you by someone I know in the business for 30 years. My second recommendation is to visit some of the antique galleries in Manhattan. They have some very expensive Menorahs that sell for 100 times the weight of the silver, most of them will also have cheaper options that have no historical significance or aren't very old. With silver, gold, diamonds and jewelry there is really no advantage of buying new over used. A good polish and you can't tell the difference between the two. One advantage of buying new is price, since silver is so expensive they started making Menorahs lighter to be more affordable. They fill the center with wax or sand. It doesn't dilute the silver content it's still 925 sterling silver, it's just weighted. If you want to spend some money, want something beautiful, and want a " metzia" those are the ways to go.
I'm sure the antique galleries will keep on the lookout for you as we'll if you give them a budget and a style you like.
If you want some recommendations PM me and I can put you in touch with some dealers/gallery owners.
