DansDeals Book Club
« on: January 06, 2013, 01:03:23 AM »
I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread where we can share some interesting reads, I'll start.
I am in the middle of Why I left Goldman Sachs by Greg Smith. It's a well written book by a nice Jewish kid which I find to be very informative. (I see now that Google has some major criticism for him but I still think that he is a good honest person.) Anyone here read it?

One book I'm currently reading is Story of the Jews by Stan Mack. It's funny, and a good way for me to (chronologically) synchronize global history and Jewish history in my mind.

Don't know if he has any. It's definitely not the classic Jewish take on history.

How would you rank all 5 of his books?
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

The best novel of all time (IMHO) [Way Better than what I found to be twisted and unrealistic book like Angles and Demons-(felt like reading Harry potter (ugh).] Davichi is good though.

Haven't read them in a while...
I'd say

1. Angels and Demons
2. Digital Fortress
3. The Da Vinci Code
4. Deception Point
5. The Lost Symbol

Good book.
I basically stick to the same few authors..

Nelson Demille-
Jeffery Archer
Michael Connelly
Vince Flynn -every once in a while
Daniel Silva-also here and there
John Grisham (older work is much better)
and David Baldacci whose books I like pretty consistently.

Grisham and Baldacci- I read every book they write.
