We are planning a trip to Israel this summer and will be staying in Tzfas for several days. We are interested in touring Akko, has anyone done it on their own recently ?
Would you recommend?
I'm wondering if I need to do it with a guide since it is an Arab neighborhood?

I've gone by myself. It's generally pretty safe but there was some extreme violence during the last Gaza operation.

All the different towns up north are listed on the bottom. Depending where you are there will definetely be things in driving distance. Not sure how updated this list is

Expedia, you have to be creative with the search. search for zimmer,  home etc. in northern district, israel or specific cities.

what kind of tour? I did a great one in the town of Dishon, you then actually get a really great deal as well on the kayaking in kfar blum

Does anyone know where we can get shabbos food catered and delivered to us in Tzfat? Mendy's said they don't do this in the summer months. We would need a mehadrin hechsher ..

Planning an Israel trip, I have 2 days up north (driving up from Jerusalem wed morning driving back Friday morning). One day I want to do tzfas, what should I do for the other day? Does it make sense to go all the way up to the Golan and do some of the above-mentioned places there or is there what to do lower down (in the tevria area maybe?) that it isn't worth it to shlep up for a day?
