Its well worth the money. My kids spent\spend hours and hours playing with it

That's a knockoff... and as others posted, the imitation magna tiles don't have the same quality magnetics.

I remember hearing that part of the reason that magnatiles are so expensive is because one of the major factories that was producing the special magnets they require, got destroyed during the Japanese tsunami.

I think it was actually a flood in their warehouse in Missouri or something like that. But that was a couple of years ago already. For a time it was impossible to find them anywhere

Magnatiles is sooo 2013.  Magformers is the way to go.
