Avoid a CC swipe fee from merchants & convert Credit to cash
« on: January 14, 2014, 05:49:58 PM »
So I have some merchants that won't take CC because of the % swipe fee charged. While for smaller amounts I can go the Bluebird route (because of the imposed funding/withdrawal limits), whats the best way (for me) to avoid the fee and/or get cash/check from a CC on much larger transactions - say $10K+ per transaction?

(PS - past ideas like Google Wallet (they now removed the 0% fee to fund your wallet balance, that was a great way to use a CC and get cash in your account); US Mint)

Welcome to the forums!

And who's to say that it wont be a noob discovering the million dollar answer all are searching for?

Every game has an aim- and you've hit right upon this one, Burtinboy.

The term you are looking for is manufacturing spend (basically buying cash with a credit card).

I doubt there is a straight and clear answer to manufacturing a 10k spend, and even if there was people here are very secretive about their ideas for fear that they might become too popular and be killed.

Well thanks for the warm(ish) welcome. I am aware of the "fat wallet" hesitation but i'm sure the collective brainpower here can come up with a solution.
What I'm thinking is (assuming I convert points to cash) open as many Amex Platinum 100k cards as I can (I have 40+ entities) and fund my Google wallet accounts for the $10k each which will cost $290 in swipe fees netting me about $2k at today's MR rates.
Beyond the initial spend, this obviously doesn't pay because of the swipe but at least I can build a large inital dump...

When applying as an "entity",  they still pull your personal credit report.

I doubt they'll approve a single ss for 40 cards.

Do you have 100k invitation codes for all of them?

I do have the invitation codes...
Not sure about the ssn part but could try.

Btw, these are each real LLC's that cash flow and have real transactions.

How did you get the valuation of $2k? In order for it to be that much, even taking the $200 airline credit into account, you would need to value the 110k MR @ 1.9

debatable

Btw, these are each real LLC's that cash flow and have real transactions.

Are you saying that these 10k transactions are real or that the LLC's can pass a review?

you'll get one sign up bonus per 12 month period per card type. There isn't even a remote chance you'll get approved for a fraction of that many cards even with legit entities

Multiple 3BM's?

Anyway, this point is off topic... We were talking about the Holy grail (apparently)...
