I am unsure how the regular price can be $3.29 at BenZ's while in Cleveland, where you're obviously incurring shipping and packaging  fees, the price is $2.99.

To be blunt, I find it unfair that this is being advertised as a deal while it is being sold for a better price, and without quantity restrictions, at local stores.

Additionally, I find it hard to believe that Benz's is going to "run out" of this "special price."

I highly doubt that anyone would pay full price at Benz, just but 2...

If you live in Brooklyn, or want to travel there, you have the option of buying the product wherever you choose.

While we are selling at cost price, the quality and packaging costs makes it a $4-$5 item. Enjoy Life brand costs $6 in Whole Foods.
Both BenZ's and I have friends who often see Enjoy Life on the shelves and they cannot afford to buy them.

Therefore we've offered deals for those who now have the opportunity to purchase a quality product at a great price.
$2.50 is a fantastic deal. The smart people are stocking up. This product is good until 4/19/2016.
Those who feel it's unfair also don't like price-gouging and feel that's unfair, too. Feel free to choose which you like better.
Bklyn people can feel it's unfair yet they and still buy at $2.50. Totally fine -- Enjoy! (Those who want to pay $5 per bag can do so if they choose....

$3.29 will most probably be the normal shelf price soon at many locations.

Cleveland has a great intro price because 3 people offered to deliver and store the cases for free! Thank you, Dan and Barryg!
We decided not to profit from that and instead, we passed the savings onto our dedicated customers. Enjoy the low cost and high quality.

We will work hard to keep it up over the next few runs.
Low overhead, less 'middlemen', smart business decisions, and people who help out for free! Thank you for being a great team.

Interesting.

(I totally  do not get the chocolate chip craze. Why would someone pay more than 2.65 for a bag of cc? Especially when at any given time there's  a brand on sale for $1.69. .?)

For $1.69 you're probably getting candy, not real chocolate. CMIIW.

funnny -- i just saw that.  However, in this scenario, several DDFers wrote that they taste great, including Dan and JJ in this thread.
I'm not aware of other chocolate runs in July. A definite possibility, but fall is generally cooler and more well known as baking season. More runs planned for then.

So unless DDFers have spare 800 sq ft of A/C space and a few summer 500-case customers, that's the plan at this point.

Enjoy Life ccs have a price range of $4.89 - $9.00
These ccs are $6.50 in WALMART! 8)  If cheap Walmart charges $6.50 (78.74 for a 12pk.), then there must be a taste-quality reason for Enjoy Life. Same for Calif. Gourmet.

The OK uses a DE designation.  Why would they write OK-D on TJs chips?

Don't know,  but at any given time,  there is a brand on sale @ $1.69 (brands include mishpacha/hadar/pashkezs /etc)

The bag says "real chocolate chips".

No idea. I'm not the one who asked the shaila and don't know the specifics. Was someone involved in kashrus who researched it and presented the shaila. The rov who paskened is quite well respected (nationally). I would not feel comfortable quoting his name until i hear him say it.

generally if natural ingredients with a 40%-65+% cacao content and real cocoa butter, then you have a quality product

There's a reason people went gaga over TJs.
None of the heimishe brands ccs are very good.

These things may in fact be the best thing since sliced bread, er, TJ chocolate chips, but reading this thread, I can't help but get the impression that these things are being hawked like like they're the subject of an infomercial... Which,  for me, detracts from their attractiveness.

If the product is as good as it apparently is, let the good reviews and high ratings spread organically.

Problem is: how will you know if they change the ingredients and become actually milchig?
The OK uses a DE designation.  Why would they write OK-D on TJs chips?

That I can aanswer.  DE is when they are b'din milchig keilim and should not be cooked in your fleishig keilim or eaten together (how about in pareve keliim? I dunno).
These are packaged in a line that packages milchig chips, but it isn't heated on that line. So it def is not DE. The only chshash is that some milchig ones got in; if that happened then it is actually D

so ironically, in theory, the D is more lenient than the DE in this case.
Even if a chip fell in, it would be batul. They can't call it pareve because it would be creating a situation of bitul likatchila.

Yes.

Although, the reason the can't call it pareve is not bittul l'chatchila.  It is because they are cowards.

(There is no chshash in the world of bittul l'chatchila on something which may have happened, and if it did, it already happened.)

I think they say that it does happen, not that it could happen.
