Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

I changed my mind. Everyone who loads the RC will get a 1099 and you will be responsible for paying 50% taxes on all the money you put in. You will also have to pay taxes on all mile redemptions you do this year. Oh and your credit card company will also report the 60K you did at target and you will have to pay taxes on that.
Is this what you people want?

THINK ABOUT IT!!!
What would you be paying taxes on?  Do you pay taxes when you transfer money from your checking to savings? This is no different. Stop with the chicken little BS.  Either it's dying because we are all getting 1099 or its dying because another moron employee made their own rules.
Did you get 1099 for bluebirds? Did you get 1099 for depositing tens of K's from mint coins?
RELAX!!!!

I just called in and had to verify some attempted ATM transactions. Initially i took out $400, but it would not let me take out any more. I tried to take out different amounts a few times which triggered an alert.

The sky is not falling...
Once on the subject, has the daily limit been switched to 400? I haven't had the alert, but my second withdrawal of 300 after the 400 didn't work either the last two times that I tried...

There is more than 1 way to do what I described. I can't say more than that.

Please don't say... This is the easier method that I use and if the masses knew about it, it would probably stop working pretty quickly.

Was also doing it for experimental purposes.
Don't think I get close to 2000 limit so once depositing cash, may as well go for more... For now I'll just go for 400 until this clears or others report that over 400 works again...

I had it work on one card Friday and another card was a no-go. Not sure why.

Yes and yes.
Nothing to worry about here though since
It is a PP debit card. There is no 1099 issued. Stop with this nonsense.  ::)

Is there a limit?
where can I read up about this & more info on ATM?
I don't think the wiki has too much info on this.
TIA

Looks like searching within the thread is best. I didn't see details on the official RC website.

I tried one Allpoint ATM and it didn't work (after it worked in Target). Don't know if it was just that ATM, or what.
