I wonder where their chef is nowadays? Wasn't the most pleasent person, but man he made wicked pizza and calzones.
Another data point for my theory about pizza places which is that quality is inversely proportional to the friendliness of the staff/chef.
Other examples of this include Rosa's A"H in the Empire State Building, and Bravo on 35th st.
I have to throw in Slice of Life in Skokie (Chicago) for their deep dish. As far as I know the only authentic kosher Chicago-style deep dish in the world. They make it in the cast-iron pans and everything, and it's delicious. Just make sure to ask them not to overbake when ordering.
