i got the following message after sending the email to chase (i signed up about 2 weeks ago)
Dear xxxxxxxx,

I am happy to advise that the account you retain is
qualified for the full 50,000 bonus mile enrollment once
the account has been approved for and issued the original
25,000 bonus miles. Please resubmit your request once you
see the original 25,000 enrollment miles are posted after
using the card and we will gladly add the additional
25,000 miles.

If you have any further questions, please reply using the

I sent an email and got the extra 25,000 so I got a total of 55,000.
I noticed that the $50 credit never posted and I called about a week ago, they said they'd get back to me within a week. they didn't call me back.
should I call/email about the $50 again, or should I be worried that they might take away the extra miles because I'm going back to the old offer?

so I called them up and I said I was supposed to get a call back about the statement credit and she told me that she sees a note on my account that I was getting 50,000 miles so I can't get the $50 credit.

maybe I should've waited till I got the credit before emailing about the extra miles...

Dear How,

Enrollment incentives offered to new cardmembers are
always changing. Chase is aware that upon opening a new
Continental Airlines credit card account, you may be
resolicited for an enrollment incentive that you find more
appealing. Based on this, enrollment incentives you are
resolicited for are honored, as long as the request comes
within 90 days of opening. This account was opened in
January 2010, which unfortunately is well passed this 90
day timeframe. For this reason, I regret to inform you
that I am unable to honor your request for additional
bonus miles.

I didn't get instant approval on the CO 50k offer, I suspect it's a denial. Is there any way to call and get it pushed through?

If you have other lines with Chase and you're willing to transfer credit lines or close cards, call and ask. I don't know if it's worth waiting, but I've heard reports of this method succeeding even after an actual denial.

I know of a case where after such a mess. got 7000 CL (no calls placed) just wait and see.

Ok Dan, so tomorrow i am gonna sign up for the 30k+ 50 statement credit and then email them. Hope it works... (i'm assuming it will but my luck was never good with these things)
I'll post what happens. (should i just play it on the safe side and go straight for the 50k?)
