This thread is designated to help members find the best available rate for their car rental. As with all things if you don't want to help yourself others will not help you. It is always best that you do some research with each individual company before asking for help.

All companies have corporate discounts that lower standard internet rates here is a roundup of them.

Dates: Jan 11 - Jan 16
Pickup/Dropoff: HNL
Age: Over 25 (may need to add additional driver over 25)
Agency: Not picky about any agency, although I do have 1400 Hertz points and I've got Gold status there.
Size: Compact/Economy/Midsize.  A negligible upcharge for a convertible would be a bonus, but not a requirement.

This should come as no surprise, but I do not belong to Chabad/BMG.   I just registered for USAA, but I don't know if I'll have my USAA card in time (departing to LA on 1/8).

What USAA card are you referring to? They don't give membership cards AFAIC. Do u mean a debit card?
And besides u don't need proof of membership usually

Your memebership # + a screen shot will do it. Worst case have them call usaa & confirm

your case i must admit is quite rare, but in general they dont ask, if they do then usually Membership # and screenshot is good enough, but again depends on the location.

convertable - $285.93 ($57 p/day !!)
jeep wrangler - $281.74 ($56 p/day)

My bad. I was debating writing in my OP and I guess I should have but I can't do a convertable (car is for my parents and little sister + bags). So looking for an SUV/bigger than normal car for <$200.

But thanks for the quick response. I saw that earlier on the forum and will be using that for my few days in LA  :)

Renting a minivan in FLL feb 1, 1pm -feb 7, 5pm over 25yr old, Royal Rent A Car has it for $283 including tax which is waaay cheaper than anyone else. Does anyone have any experience with this company?
