a HUGE thank you to everyone on here who said to be persistent, and offered up new codes to use when calling Amex. On my 6th call, I finally got a MR rep who cared, and she told me that they needed to hear a certain word or phrase in order to credit me the points. It was a hilarious guessing game for a few minutes, but then I mentioned 'better offer', and she said that was it! One minute on hold, and she came through with the extra 50K points. Now, THAT is why I love Amex! In the end, they take care of the customer.
