I know that. My question was how do they know if it is I that is doing it, or him? I assume they don't. (Unless they follow IP addresses, which I doubt.)

It's officially against the rules to sell miles, so you don't want to get caught doing it. If you do the airlines can cancel your award ticket(s) and/or freeze your mileage account(s). Since most award reservations have fees, the person booking would be using their CC, raising the likelihood of getting caught.

most bookings are done by phone so if they ask him to id and from the way he answers the q they suspect or the age dont match the voice ect......... the list is endless

got it. But I do not believe that voice would be a problem - they are not the CIA.

In  that case Amex MR points should not be a problem, as they transfer it to other peoples accounts.

You're correct. When selling MR, sellers usually deposit the miles into whatever account the buyer designates.

Or 1.2-1.3.
No Value unless putting them to Aeroplan. aeroplan would always be 4-5 points less than Continental because of the 4-500 bucks more YQ. So if they can get Continental for 1.5-1.6, there is no value in using Aeroplan unless you get it for 4-5 points less. Besides the fact that most Aeroplans awards are more than Continental (besides Europe).
Transferring to Delta & BA is also not an option, because they are not used a lot & the market is flooded with them.
So, I'm not really getting why someone should pay more than 1.3, when he can get Continental & AA for 1.5.
Anyone?

Transfer bonus to Flying Blue, with their option to fly Delta to Israel. That can be worthwhile for s/o.

Aeroplan also beats CO when flying with a lap child.

bc if ba has a promo of %30 or more by paying 1.5 for mr you end up paying 1.15 forba and its worth paying that for your own ba.

When you can get BA for .8-1. it is not worth the extra .15, especially if the account is clean and there is no risk to book out a ticket of there.

Huh?
You valued BA for .75 at least once on this Forums. So I believe you had some source for that. Anyway for 2 weeks ago I had some 2 desperate people that sold me BA for .5. Yes you read good!!

reread what i wrote
I disagree with you totally. I read very well what you wrote.
It is NOT worth to get you own BA for that price, if you can get others for cheaper. period.

Huh?
Here you go:
-Fly into NYC with 9,000 BA Avios (roughly $72)
-Hit up Costco in Brooklyn and Queens and buy $$$$ in Costco cash cards.
-Have a DO.
-Fly home.

Not a bad plan...
.8cpm is about the value of a BA mile.
