Dan, are you upset at the person that set up the unofficial channel?  I understand wanting your DansDeals name to yourself, that's 100% fair.  But whoever set up that channel did many people a huge favor (including myself), and didn't take credit for it.  You seem to be upset at him/her, I'm just curious if that's because of taking the name, or the actual service he provided.  If the latter, care to explain why?  (Would you care if I set up an RSS feed for myself based on your twitter tweets?)

He should be upset. There were occasional "deals" that were sent by the admin that had nothing to with Dansdeals, and he was reaping commission off of it. On top of that, recently he sent out a ponzi scheme. Doesn't get worse than that.

1. The squatter should have reached out to me to ask permission to use my name and logo. He has a halachic and legal obligation to do so. Instead he chose to steal it for his own profit.
2. The squatter has been sneaking in his own affiliate links as if they were mine for his own profit.
3. The squatter is sending out MLM/Pyramid scheme links that should never be associated with DansDeals.
4. The squatter has been deleting Tweets letting people know that he is a squatter. But he clearly knows that I am upset by now.

IMHO the squatter is nothing but a thief at this point and I'll continue to publicly protest his usage of my name. In the end though, he'll have to answer to a higher authority.

More channels equals more followers. I definitely see more deals because if telegram. TG also has a great in screen browser so it’s more convenient to check the deal compared to twitter. Also, once there’s a rougel channel with nearly 1k subscribers, if there’s an official option they would all choose that instead.

It's not a group, it's a channel. The difference (for the most part) is that in a group there is discussion, all members can talk. A channel is a "group" that only admins can speak in, and all members can see. (Think of it as a tv channel)

I don't know about reaching more people, as most people that have telegram have other forms of social media as well, but taking myself as an example, I actually don't have Facebook, rarely check twitter, and spend a lot of time on telegram. So it's very convenient for me.
