Never get confirmed.
WOW! This gets me scared.[tweet]1016488877928927232[/tweet]So I propose that the Democrats offer the following compromise: Each Senate Democrat will pledge either to vote yes for Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation — or, if voting no, to first publicly name at least two clearly better candidates whom a Republican president might realistically have nominated instead (not an easy task). In exchange for this act of good will, Democrats will insist that Judge Kavanaugh answer all fair questions at his confirmation hearing.mmmhhhhhmmm
With 58 Republican senators, why not?
58?
New math. AKA: Trumpsters math.
Trumpers think since they have a razor thin majority in the senate (which can easily become a minority pretty soon), they can confirm anyone. They need 100% support among republicans, which they'll get for some nominees but not all. And keep in mind McCain may not vote.
The 58 comes from what they believe will be after the midterms.
I’ll put good money against that
Judging by the map the R's are well off, what do the statistics show?
Don't know and don't care. Now would you or any Trumpsters like to bet on it?
I wouldnt bet against a majority, but 58 is a stretch. My even bet, based on my limited political knowledge, would be 53.
Don't call me a TrumpsterWhat are we betting on?
I didn't call you a Trumpster. I separated "you" from the Trumpsters.Bet would be the R's don't have 58 senators after the midterm.
I, Same credentials, thought 53 would be an easy shot, although 58 may be a far cry, the D's have 20 seats up.
Only 5 of them are toss ups per RCP. Of course anything can happen, but 58 is extremely unlikely IMO
CM said never, my response was some day there can be 58, not that I think it'll happen in the midterms but you can't say never.
