Selling GC tips.

Giftcardgranny.com and giftcardwiki.com are good aggregators for best rates. Be wary of selling on Ebay as buyer can put in a false claim that it was empty and you can get screwed.

Cardpool:
Verification: 415-419-8787 between the hours of 1230pm - 930pm ET. Have your order # ready.
Offers an extra 6% if taken in the form of amazon GC and will also pay quicker than a check.
If you haven't heard from them give them a call it may be stuck in verification. Large total value is a trigger.

GiftCardZen:
Will cancel the full sale if one of the GC are incorrect.

In general if an order gets cancelled, it's possible those gc are *tarnished* and you may have trouble unloading them. It is possible these sites communicate with each other in this regard as well. In this case you can do the PITA method of using the GC to buy/return items and get a new gc issue.

update: still waiting for a check from beginning of December. DO NOT EVER EVER EVER USE GIFT CARD RESCUE
Getting the same garbage every time, our processor mailed you check, it takes 10- 14 business days. NO other mail takes 10- 14 business days, they say for MS you have to be able to float whatever your MSing, Gift cards are with gift card rescue- you need to be able to float for 3 months.  sorry for the rant, but I am really frustrated and didn't have anywhere else to get support, (don't want to tell DW- we are waiting on a few months worth of tuition from some gift card company)

Same experience. Still waiting to get paid for cards sent in December. I'm on mobile but maybe someone should just add some advice about them in the wiki.

Just tried cardcash/ABC again. This time with a merchandise credit card not bought on a "competitor site", and guess what? It was flagged! Of course, no further info offered and the irony is that the write in their email that there's no point in calling for more info as they won't give any.
Chaval too-many companies owned by yidden have to have horrible customer service..

Tachlis, as I wrote earlier, if you don't want to waste your time, stick with the other companies.

Bought some GCs from cardpool and got the following. Anything I can do? Is there any phone number to talk to someone there?

Currently waiting on an ABC refund for a $1,000 Bloomingdales eGiftCard.  Was "invalid" only 6 hours after delivery, last thursday.  Today I got an email that the request was taking longer than usual due to "some merchants take longer to research than others."

FWIW, I basically will only deal with CardCash/ABC, they've been good to me both buying and selling... However, maybe I'll think twice about ever buying $500+ from anyone...

Ive bought a few from CardCash/abc that had no funds on it.
Always solved (refunded) right away when emailing dansdeals@cardcash.com. When it was over $1k it took an extra day or 2 until they issued the refund. Big whoop.

Doh.  I've used the DD email and got results.  Forgot it was out there this time.  I'm sure they'll take care of it.  Hope they catch the fraudster/seller.

I don't understand how these companies remain profitable with the large amounts of fraud that goes on in the industry. One fraudulant 1k gift card wipes out dozens of profitable gift card transactions.

They put a huge amount of work into fraud prevention
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

What kind of "work" will stop a crook from using a GC after it was sold?

If you verify the crook's identity when he sells it to you it's reasonably simple to pursue legal action.
