If you didn't,  you should read the whole article. It's written in a pretty deceptive manner - - the guy actually has 24 therapists and three or four offices. Not as outrageous as they make it seem at first brush.

Typical melodramatic media.

+1.  Was written very deceptive. If you skimmed through it you could miss that. They're stressing how it's impossible for one person to bill so much and how he doesn't operate out that office. With 3 other offices and 24 therapists it sounds like a non-news story.

No question it's written sensationally. But there also seem to be some legitimate questions around this guy's practice and others' as well. The top 2 billed Medicaid for an average of 94 procedures per patient in that year. Also, every single patient was billed for a specific set of procedures, which the article claims (via a quote from an executive of the American Physical Therapy Association) is highly unusual within the field.

Utter c**p

The whole premise of the article is based on the conjecture the Dean of Meir Har'el Hesder Yeshiva in Modiin, Rabbi Colonel (res.) Eliezer Sheinwald.

The reason they don't say kaddish on yom hazikaron is because they say it the yartziet, and they are aren't buried in military cemeteries, because they are buried with their families. What does that have to do with being ashamed?
Perhaps they don't believe that serving in the military defines a person to the extent that he should be eternally remembered a soldier, but to say that they are hiding them in civilian cemeteries because they are embarrassed is rubbish.

Well the families were getting the wrong bodies, so it is possible.

This should be of great interest to most DDFers.

http://www.vox.com/2014/4/25/5647696/the-way-we-board-airplanes-makes-absolutely-no-sense

Comments:
1. The random method is faster on average, but probably has a larger standard deviation, so is less predictable. Predictability is also valuable.
2. The southwest method involves waiting on line, and waiting on line is much worse than waiting.  The same holds for all the other choreographed methods, which also involve lining people up in order.
3. The Stefen method is impossible, since you would never convince the people to line up in that order. The only reason they put up with it on Southwest is to get better seats.
4. The southwest method frequently means sitting separately from your wife and kids, and is therefore asinine.  I'd pay more to avoid flying southwest.

As I'm thinking about it this Stefen method doesn't make any sense, since most people sit next to their family/friends this will result in everyone boarding separately...

Hey, see you in 15...

You'd have to implement the same exception for families that United has for its outside-in method.

I assume they'd call the passengers to board in blocks, similar to the 'Standard' method. Only problem is that from the simulation it looks like the method utilizes smaller blocks of passengers. The smaller each block, the harder it is to implement.

Interesting take on the survey that Mishpacha published before Pesach.
