I've split this off. Simply too much commentary on that thread on one article for it to be a master thread.

If it's an article that is controversial or may generate a lot of discussion it probably can have it own thread...

Interesting Non-profit agency that collects data every year to put out a list of most corrupt countries-least corrupt.

As expected, US, Canada, Australia, UK etc. are up toward the top of the list (least corrupt) and North Korea, Somalia, Afghanistan etc are toward the bottom of the list (most corrupt).

Notice how Israel is ranked one of the best in the Middle East.....

I never turn off my phone till I lose service in the air... Enough years of avoiding mashkichim in yeshiva has served me well to not get caught by flight attendants

I thought it's better for bbm to turn it off before the flight, as this way it registers as off, whereas if it's out of reception the message might get stuck and not come afterwards

lol it reminds me when i travel with my wife and i left my phone on as we were landing in lhr we hit some turbulence and my wife was begging me to shut the phone lol
