Gonna be at PH in Paris for 3 days next month... Didn't think too much about being concerned re antisemitism there... I figure in public places during the day we should be fine

Traveling with kids ages 4-14 End of June to London
have to be in London on Thursday afternoon and the next Monday in TLV
Have an extended weekend and don't want to stay in London,
looking for somewhere in Europe with Shabbos food, and either culture or nature, but something that wont break the bank, or could use points for hotels
Was thinking Venice but apts and hotels are crazy expensive...
If  you can make Venice work, it's great.
If not, I liked Edinburgh. Stay between Chabad and "The Mile." Daven and eat at chabad. Walk the mile all afternoon. Friday, do Stirling Castle.

If you're willing to wear a baseball cap, I wouldn't worry about antisemitism.

It might depend on the logo. If it's a Yankees or Mets cap, people will assume you're Jewish. If it's a KC Chiefs cap, they'll assume you're either a Swiftie or a fan of Harrison Buttker. In either case, not a frum Yid.

Maybe my SIL should wear a kaffiyeh. OTOH, I don't think my daughter would agree to wear a hijab.

Looking to go away for approximately 8 days at the end of August with DW and 3 kids.
Children ages are 6, 3 and a half and a 1 year old.
Would like a destination suitable for children and not too pricey, if that is even possible :)
We reside in the tri state area, US or even Europe can work for us, any leads are appreciated.

What destination is or isn't suitable for children? Not much here to go on or where you've been.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Bucks county, PA (with a stop in Philly )- we did this several times
Mystic Seaport, CN (maybe add Newport, RI) - we did this three times
Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown - We did this twice
Niagara Falls and Toronto

The further the place, the fewer times we went.  ;D
We went with kids of all ages and again with the next crop of kids.
If anyone wants me to expand, I can.

Looking into going to Asia this August (Depart Aug 18 - 20) for 8/9 days.

So many options and questions that I am getting overwhelmed!
Maybe someone can help me...

Some criteria..
1. It's hard to do 2 stops. We're departing from TLV and I'm trying to use AC points.
For example... Thailand is great, but there are only 1 stop flights to Phuket and BKK. Not so interested in being in Bangkok for a day, and it seems like the weather is awful in Phuket in Aug (correct me if I'm wrong). Although it seems the weather is pretty bad everywhere in this side of the world in Aug.
I realize we may need to do 2 stops, but looking to avoid it at least one way if possible.
2. Avoiding "dangerous" places. Not sure exactly what defines dangerous, you would have to ask my wife... But if the majority of the ppl look muslim it ain't gonna fly.
3. Sensitive to smoke and smog, so trying to avoid cities with really bad air.
4. Weather (see above :)  )... Seems like it's hot, sticky and raining for all of Aug in most places... Has this been your experience when going to Asia in the summer? Or is it overrated?
5. We don't want to sit around and "chill" for too much. More doing and seeing and then moving on. Not down to sit around the hotel...
So I'm not sure how many places we can fit in without it being too tiring..
6. Kosher food is a plus

Any advice would be great. Best would be if someone has specific experience in Thailand in Aug, and can advise best way to do it and/or if it's worth also stopping in Singapore or anywhere else... How many days each. Shabbos. Etc etc..

Sorry this is a bit of a messy ramble. Just too many options and questions flying around.

Thanks for any help!

Weather wise, I can't help as I was there in early June - then it was very hot and slightly humid although didn't bother us much. (I was there for over a month, ended up ditching the clothes I brought for local super light/thin stuff)

Thailand is amazing and so beautiful. North is amazing with the jungkes, waterfalls, animals, vibes. South has gorgeous beaches.cool markets wherever you go. Big plus is that where ever you go there is Chabad with great and cheap kosher food. Was one of the easiest places to travel keeping kosher. I agree that Bangkok isn't a top destination, but if you want to avoid the hassle of a double stopover absolutely spend a day there. There is much to do, amazing malls and markets, etc. Shabbos in Chabad Bangkok to this day was my most amazing and meaningful shabbos, hundreds of Jews of all kind and the Rabbi led an awesome heimish Friday night. I would say if you go, arrange to be in Bangkok just for shabbos itself. That being said shabbos in all the chabads there were magnificent - koh samui and Phuket have thousands (!) of people each Friday night. An experience you can't really get in many places. All the chabad houses have restaurants, very decently priced, Thai food, tastes good etc

Singapore (was there for almost a week) I felt was a total waste of time and money. I wouldn't suggest going out of your way to be there unless you anyways have a stopover. 1 day is more than enough. Not much to see or do, but it is a cool clean country. Only great thing there is the dairy restaurant by Meir Adoni- really nice and great food (Not Cholov Yisroel!)

Ok thanks for the info.

Maybe I'll just do a double stop on the way in, and stay in Bangkok for the day.

Can I squeeze in 3 cities in 8 or 9 days or better to stick to 2?

What destination is or isn't suitable for children? Not much here to go on or where you've been.
Some destinations are not appropriate or workable for small children, for example, hiking wouldn't really work for a 1 or 3 year old, same goes for historic places or an adult museum kinda place.
I am looking for a destination that kids can also enjoy, be entertained as opposed to just taking them along to an area or attraction that is great for adults but boring and meaningless for kids.
