UJC In the Apple Bank on 16 has an Office
(UJC is the Reb Aron Faction in Willi)
They are wonderful.

Do yourself a favor and apply online at the Exchange.

ObamaCare is great !
So what is the best option:

1)apply in apple bank
2)apply online
3)get obamacare

You might be able to do it online (if you did any of the applications online), otherwise you would probably have to do it at the center.

I think you do it over the phone. Possibly at the "medicaid choice" number where you'd call to choose a plan.

Is the Covid Medicaid extension still going? When is the current date of expiration?

I was told by a pretty reliable source that it's over. But call any of the agencies  and ask them.

https://aspr.hhs.gov/legal/PHE/Pages/covid19-13Oct2022.aspx

Healthcare Emergency extended effective October 13th for at least 90 days, which probably means that the automatic 12 month renewals of Medicaid, CHP and Essential Plan will continue at least through the end of January 2023.

That means that even if it expires after January, it won't affect any decision I have to make now for health insurance through employers because it'll be a life change event. Does that make sense?

Correct. (If I understood your question correctly).

If you are on Medicaid now, and lose it in the future, that would generally allow you to enroll in an employer plan outside of open enrollment period (but you might want to verify with your employer).

Yes.

Anyone due for renewal (while Pandemic Emergency is in effect) gets automatically extended for 12 months (it usually is done the month before the renewal is due).

Is there a way to check yourself or do you have to go thru an agency?

If your Medicaid is through the NY State exchange you can see it online.
