Post here new developing stories.(Otherwise each big story will earn more than one thread, cluttering up our forums even more than it already is.)
good idea.I propose a Master thread of New Master Threads
http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-201_162-57433184/fla-mom-gets-20-years-for-firing-warning-shots/Isn't this a little crazy? (At least someone gets to use this thread )
title is so misleading. she got 20 years for attempted murder not for warning shots. her attempted defense was that it was warning shots. i wasnt there and i didnt see the trial so i dont know if it was true or not
nu, any news recently?
Depends on what you think crazy is. "Alexander was convicted of attempted murder after she rejected a plea deal for a three-year prison sentence.""Judge Daniel said the law did not allow for extenuating or mitigating circumstances to reduce the sentence below the 20-year minimum."
The courts and prosecutors seem to get vindictive when defendants don't accept a plea agreement.
Two years of deep thought produces such insight.
Not since 2013. IIRC There was a close call sometime in 2014
